After several years away, Filmmaker Karel returns to Lebanon during the tumultuous summer of 2022 as an economic crisis eats the country. Between long lines for bread, ongoing power outages, wild parties, and relaxing Sundays with her dad, it all feels absurd… Disoriented by the chaos, Karel chronicles the stories and emotional journey that shaped her visit. She captures the daily nuanced realities faced by Lebanese people in a country that is both haunting and captivating. Each sequence serves as a portal to a moment, a feeling, a truth—culminating into a maze that reflects the echo of a society in relentless turmoil.
